APTC 2013 Annual Meeting

The APTC annual meeting will be held from Thursday, February 28 through Sunday, March 3, 2013.   Regular programming will run through Saturday, but the Executive Board and Committee Chairs will need to stay for an early meeting on Sunday.  

Meeting registration is $100 up through February 15th; $150 after February 15th. 

The meeting will be held at the renowned Mayfair House Hotel, in the heart of Coconut Grove at the Shops of Mayfair and Coco Walk (http://www.mayfairhotelandspa.com/). The hotel is located at 3000 Florida Avenue, Coconut Grove, FL 33133. The entire property has free Wi-Fi, including the meeting rooms.  The room rate of $199/night plus 13% room tax will total$226; likewise, the double room rate of $219/night plus 13% room tax will total $247.  This is a great deal for what is peak tourism season in Miami!

Individual callers must identify their affiliation as the Assn of Psychology Training Clinics Mid-Year Meeting.   All reservations must be guaranteed by a room deposit or major credit card.  Any cancellation within 72 hours prior to the day of arrival will be charged one night's room and tax.

The Mayfair is about 7 miles from the Miami airport (MIA).  Taxicabs are available from the airport at rates of about $22 each way.  American Shuttle (recently purchased by SuperShuttle) runs a shared van service for about $15 each way. You should book your shuttle at least 24 hours in advance to ensure a reservation.  Call 800-258-3826 or book online at www.americanshuttle.com or www.SuperShuttle.com.  Be sure to specify the Mayfair House Hotel on Florida Avenue, not the Mayfair Residence Hotel on Park Avenue in Miami. 

The meeting theme will be "Evidence-Based Practice and Technology: Innovations in Implementation."The conference will focus on topics associated with “evidence-based practice” including flexibly implemented assessment and intervention strategies.  Presentations may also emphasize “technology,” including presentations on innovative techniques and effective training frameworks. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Daniel Santisteban from the University of Miami.
